    ... went to a free harp concert by Luc Vanlaere. He played his own compositions and he was quite good! Some of his music sounded Renaissance - like and some avant guarde. He also played some unique Eastern instruments and a Swiss variation on the steel drum. Everything here is expensive!     ... Antwerp, and Brugge declined. Today, modern designer stores, chocolate shops, and waffles and frites stands are popular with tourists as are horse-drawn carriage rides and canal boat cruises. I enjoyed walking around the medieval old town and coming across a different church, statue, or canal at each turn.
