... In short, a whole stack of cheese is carried onto the square on a shoulder slung platform by blokes dressed in traditional kit. The buyers then negotiate a price with the seller using a lot of secret slapping of hands and the deal is finalized with a handshake. The sold cheese is then placed on a hand-drawn cart and taken out for loading onto trucks. Not sure the whole thing is ...

... in Amsterdam this would happen! We got back on our bikes and rode back to the bike hire, walked back into the hostel exhausted! Roughly we rode between 40-45km, safe to say we will have sore bums tomorrow! The four of us decided that we should top off our day by going out to dinner, we found a really nice place around the corner which has all pastas/pizzas for €5 and they were amazing (even if it's not traditional, it's actually really hard to find traditional food ...

... couldn't leave the hostel really! So when it calmed down we nipped out and got some dinner. We currently reflecting on our trip so far.. We were saying It could have gone one of two ways, I mean we have pretty much spent 24 hours together but fortunately we've got along like a house on fire. I said 'things could have gone seriously wrong' and Jamie replied with 'they did, it's just neither of us really gave a ****' And that has summed everything up for me so ...

... is known for its cheese. Yum. They pointed us down the Flower Auction, Bloemenveiling towards Jordaan where we shopped and cafe hopped. We ended in the park in front of the Van Gogh Museum listening to a street performer plating jazz guitar in the sun and grass. Now off the meet up with Thomas, Moni and friends to go to a local summer theater&circus festival. I have no idea what to expect, but find that is part of the fun. Ciao for now ...

... Haag. We took a tram to Scheveningen and discovered the beach. It was a breezy cool day but we found what we would call the boardwalk and walked around for awhile. We had some time to kill before dinner. It was a nice boardwalk that we found out is completely taken down in the winter. All the building are folded up and stored even the boardwalk when winter comes. ...
