Even though all the adults and older kids were going along with it, she spoke out from her heart and was completely genuine and appalled that looks would even be a factor in friendships.     ... by several hundred other people with boat hire spread out all up the waters edge. Of all the spots we chose I didn't enjoy walking into the water as the bottom was gravely and slimy mud..it was horrid to walk on but the water surprised us by being warm, it was bliss. We walked further around after we got out and found a lovely spot near a bridge where we watched the brave climb high and jump in.     30 minute bus trip to the olive vineyards, had to turn back just out of the town because the "Baltimores" got left behind. Stan the Canadian made such fun of it we were in stitches saying he was surprised it wasn't the kiwis missing haha. The tour of the olive oil production was fascinating and the tasting superb.     ... spun it around to get the larger cog into the chain and then rode that up the hill, at the top it was the reverse. I loved the cut away drawings of the old sturmey archer internal 3 speed gear system from about 1908 - it looked much the same as the one's that I saw running around in the UK in the sixties. Some bikes with candle and oil lanterns.
    Brilliant atmosphere and build up for the tour though to get a good viewing point you had to commit ...
