... chocolate – my 2 favorite things! When we get to Lake Como the rain is still coming down and it’s still very cloudy/foggy. Can’t see much of the lake, which is surrounded by the Italian Alps. Such a shame. We roam around the downtown area, check out a beautiful Cathedral and stop at our new favorite, McDonalds. While we enjoy our cappuccino and croissants we chat with a couple sitting at the next table. ...

... little Fiat had an interesting characteristic that was becoming quite annoying, for me. Everytime my speed went over 130 kms, it would give off a short beep letting Linda know that I was going "too fast". Eventually, after a little experimentation, I realized that the beep only sounded once at 130 kms. Accelerating beyond 130 kms did not cause additonal beeps to occur....hmmm!. I quickly began, because these "chops " had to cook in a slow oven for four hours . As I was looking over all my ingredients, and what I had to substitute for what could not be found here... I was even more nervous that this night was going to be a disaster..... Realistically I could only cook one slab of meat at ...

... Siesta time followed lunch.... For it was truly airless and h o t. Below deck we retreated, and as the crew napped, I read and played games. For dinner tonight it was much too hot to cook.... So out to eat we will do. Jacques and Marina said there was a restaurant right on the sea, the other side of the street market location. After our traditional GTs, and entertaining one of Jacques and Marina's friends, we jumped ship, and found a funny little ...

... we get to Cannes.... Oh my.... Am not looking forward to going on top of Cape Corse at all! This is the area where we had our trouble last year..... I am not going to worry about that now.... There are a lot of short, fun days ahead.... Jacques made us a delicious hamburger dinner... Which we devoured, washing it down with the last bottle of Sicilian wine. As Marina and I were sipping in just droplets of Grand Marnier, the ...
