Today we went to Praia A Mare. It's roughly a 2 hour drive from Fagnano Castello up the coast.
We hire beach umbrellas and beach chairs till early afternoon and relax and swim in the beautiful ocean. Praia A Mare also has a blue grotto where you can either take a tour for €5 per person or hire paddle boats like we did for €12 per person and oddly yourself there and jump in for a swim.

Had a 1/2 litre of the local white wine, which was good too. By this time the rain had followed us from Stresa and we just had a quick wander around the streets of Sirmione before making ...

... here as some half-being. Not particularly unhappy, but not overly happy either. In between. I suppose that's normal. I suppose that's life. Don't get me wrong, this trip has made me feel a lot better. I feel far less depressed and anxious and full of grief. I can also 'accept' Dave's death more, though I'm still unsure exactly what that means. ---------------------- I think I want to understand more about the homeless. About how they came to be like that, and how the hell ...

... tour the Palace of the Borromean Royal Family. We meet our local tour guide, Romeo, who has been working at the palace for 32 years. There are only 200 rooms in the palace and the royal family only stays here for a few months in the summer and then they go back to Milan. Currently there are 10 members of the Royal Family, the prince and princess, their 2 children and spouses and 4 grandchildren. They are already gone for this ...
