    ... making our way to the coach and onto Venice. Arrived at the coach park and were transferred onto taxis with our luggage that then took us for a trip around the Grand Canal before depositing us at the Carlton opposite the train station.

    Not really impressed with it however, the rooms are tiny and we are overlooking a concrete courtyard.

    We were given a welcome dinner which wasn't very impressive either and so to bed......

    Another, this time slightly faster train through Italy from the dirty and dangerous Napoli to Sicily.     ... us further south to our destination Maratea in Posetano. Momentarily, we had a couple of doubts until we realized that A30 and A3 were one and the same....whew!
