    A day at sea. It was a rough night and morning with wind and sea measured at level 7. This settled once we reached the English Channel about 4pm.     A relaxing morning. We arrived in La Rochelle at 2pm. Leaving at 10pm. The Harbour was 8km from the city centre so Ron and I shared a taxi with 3 other passengers for 18 Euro. Vera went on a city tour. Ron and I walked a 3 hour self tour of the old city starting at the Tourist Bureau in Quai George's Simenon to St Nicholas Tower a 14th century defensive tower also used as a state prison.
