Living the Mandala

... and cried at the same time because it was just so awe-inspiring. This life, this time, this gift.

--Friends. 3 months at Surf Maroc granted me the chance to meet and connect with such a groovy mix of people. I met friends who inspired me with thought, language, laughter, passion and kindness. I fell in love with the Moroccans that worked with me, their warm hospitality and ...

How sweet it is...

... with another girl named Laura, who hosts here.  My room has sea views and I can hear the surf from my room (as well as all the other sounds of Moroccan music and activity, in particular the goats wandering the alleys).

I'll be here till mid August, then I'll travel the country for a bit.  I have two retreats I'm leading in July and there's still space--come join!

Om Shanti,
Heather

So much fun in Morroco's Hotel Sofitel Agadir

Located outside of the medina, but not more than 10 minutes from shops and 25 km from the international Airport, Sofitel Agadir is a gorgeous place to stay while in Morocco. This grand five star hotel holds 273 rooms including family sized suites! The Kasbah style architecture combined with the elegant and exotic décor make this hotel a genuine beauty you'll never want to step outside ...

Sixth Day - Free day

... almost hot! So strange feelings, so cool... =) I am really in Love with the Ocean!

All red and tatooed, I returned to the hotel to eat something, and then we went to the hall to see the Morroccan show - there was a wedding as a show... But not such interesting, so soon we left to spend some time near the pool, all our group, sip some wine and talk=)

Tired after such a lot of sun, I soon left for bed.

Second day - watching the hotels

... for a vacation=) For that reason we had to know enough hotels to recommend our clients the ones that suits for them... So big thanks to Moroccan hotels for sparing their busy time for us. Also great thanks to Agadir Beach Club Hotel and Kenzi Europa Hotel for giving us free rooms! (Yes, we paid only for air tickets, the apartments was a good will of hotel owners).

We sit to the bus, got our cameras ready and departed... First stop was Royal Atlas ...

Going South again

... village with not much more than a few dogs roaming the streets. This whole trip already sounded more like an odyssey than anything else, until my luck changed for the better and a guy pulled out his car and drove me back to the doorstep of my hotel, this time the right one, and he didn't even want any money. How sweet! So I had a plate of Couscous and dropped into bed, happy but quite exhausted.

Ouarzazate, doorway to the desert

We barely made it to Southern Morocco : demoralized by the uniformly uninteresting string of cities in the North, Mike could not wait to get out of Morocco. Trapped in Tetouan, a mere 60 km away from Tangiers' ferries to Spain, the temptation was great to give up on Morocco. Mike reluctantly accepted to venture into the desert South and give Morocco one more chance. We were rewarded with some of the most gorgeous scenery we have ...
