    in Switzerland.

    My hotel is
right in the centre of Megeve right on the motor vehicle free pedestrian walkway.

Day two saw some seriously committed stein consumption, gee whiz we got stuck in hard. ... of artists exhibit there. It was interesting and loads of fun. The castle is at the top of a small mountain, with the (real) working town far below, always with a whiff of cow in the air. And there are mountains all around, 2000m or so - just beautiful. We walked around the castle and down the back streets, returning to fetch meringues and cream for dinner - compulsory when you visit Gruyere! Also picked some fragrant soaps made locally to bring home - all the craft shops had locally ...

    Ahhhhh, the Travelpod several.

It’s been a while indeed! Five years, by my watch.

There’s been something bothering me for some years now, and it’s the thing at the top of this page (and every page in our blog) that says Trip Start, Jun 01 2006, and Trip End, Ongoing.

    Even the most optimistic ...
