    Heading south to Chablis-Dijon today, we stopped at Troyes for lunch. Troyes (pronounced trois) is a rebuilt truly Medieval town which is being restored to its former glory.     ... prior to the 13th C, wars, fires and a hurricane taking their toll. It was spared the ravages of both the WW's, with its elaborate facade dating from the 16th C. The stained glass windows are magnificent. The traditional rose is just beautiful, while the windows depict scenes from the bible.



    Its now dark by 6pm. A slow drive home through the fading countryside ignoring the scattered raindrops.
