    ... almost glad to be back in the car for another 2 hours driving!

    The scenery became notably flatter with harvest fields as we approached the Champagne region. At one point we both spotted our first ever twister! OK so there weren’t cows or cars flying around but we could see the dust from the harvest being sucked up into god knows where – very cool and a first for us ...

    Hands up everyone who knows where I got the title for today's entry. I'll give the answer tomorrow for anyone who isn't au-fait with comedy movie classics of the 1960's.

    ... road less travelled, with fewer people biking up here. Although a lot of the surface had been unpaved for much of this route, it had generally been hard packed gravel and reasonably rideable if slower than asphalt. Today we entered the section that is marked for future development, with considerable deterioration in the surface where it was just rutted tyre tracks, requiring more concentration to ride and thus slower progress.

    Hi, my battery is low and I'm blogging from the tourist office, so I'll keep this brief.

    I had a great time with my hosts in Coole, who invited me to join them and some close relatives and friends for Sunday lunch at a neighbour's house in the village.
