Today was a day filled with lots of traveling to reach Lyon. The first stop was at La Fontainebleau, where a stunning chateau of Napolean was the site of the day. For my appetizer, I had a small salad with tomatoes and for the entree I got a grilled chicken salad with balsamic reduction. Yum! It's ...

The city has been a commercial, industrial and banking powerhouse for over 500 years so was sure to offer us young Aussies lots to see and do. Lyon is a very bike friendly city with cycle paths criss crossing everywhere. They also have a great bike sharing setup with the first ...

... country side of Provence and the "Parc Naturel Regional du Luberon".

Fontairre de Vaucluse was the intended first stop, but large traffic numbers meant parking was scarce. It did look pretty from the car and the scenery while driving there was beautiful. From here we headed to Gordes. It is a small town perched (literally) on the side of a cliff overlooking a valley with the back drop of the French Alps and the aforementioned national park. ...
