The ship arrived in Lyon after lunch; we boarded a bus and toured around with a stop at one of the last family-owned silk scarf manufacturers. That was really impressive, and I don't even go for silk scarves! I spent a lot of time hating France and finding it so incredibly frustrating and just a constant battle for the most simple if things. But on the train ride (home) I suddenly felt a happiness and a nostalgia associated with coming home. I was happy to hear people around me speaking French and understanding them. ...

... I don't want to hear his excuses or explanations. That's not love. When you love someone it's not about you anymore, it's all about them. But this begging, this was about him. It really felt pathetic. Anyway, he went off to have a smoke and I went off and went to bed. When I woke up on Tuesday morning the lady at reception, Hira, said that he'd called that morning to see how I was going. Gosh! I just shake my head at him. If he wanted me to stay he never would have treated ...
