We have run that gamut of transportation. This morning we rushed from your hotel room from Ouistreham; the Hotel St. George to meet our ferry. While checking out I mentioned to the hotel manager that after visiting the various museums in the area that the Hotel St. George has a lot of history. ... I also grabbed a little bottle of French Champagne to cheers my birthday friends. After shopping we headed to Longues Sur Mer which is where the 4 big guns are left from the Normandie landings, part of the Atlantic Wall built by Hitler as a last line of defence against the Allies. From everything I have seen on these landings, ...

I decided to do something different today. I signed up for the Tour de Normandie, a competitive race between me, myself, and I. The race involved going to the little village of Ouistreham on the coast. It also happens to be the location of Sword Beach, one of the British Invasion beaches! I had to ...

... for 150+ miles. For some reason Three wouldn't let me take out my Euro Internet £5 pass today, but luckily Apple Maps, and to some extent Google maps still work for GPS when offline, as long as you don't want to zoom in too far, or search for anything. Lucky, as the first 2 hours were zig-zagging in a diagonal line through farm roads, and a map was essential as they only really signpost towards the next village. I returned to the main roads ...
