... colours of the trees and the brilliant green of the grass was amazing.

E failed to get any lunch as we discovered that 11:11 is a bank holiday in France and everywhere was closed! So we arrived at the hotel at 5:00 pm and were starving! We checked in and the owner kindly provided us with pate and bread and a glass of red....perfect!

He also likes to collect old tools of his trade & demonstrated some older tools used to harvest the grapes. The appropriate harvest dates of the grapes are controlled by the French government. We did manage to get a cup of coffee at the train station, as well as a couple of sandwiches and chips to take on the train.
