      The trade off is we are in a beautiful environment. Very dry air, and hard water. Altitude also affects the temperature water boils at, and how long things take to cook. Soft boiled egg is 6 minutes. Fortunately there is an App to help with such things. Also means that hangovers can arrive early and hit hard.       ... is a city deep in gray scale - the mist off the lake mutes most of the buildings to white or dull stone colors, and I have yet to see a local wearing anything but black. Even the other study abroad students seem to all be wearing black, while I am very warm but not particularly sleek or urban in my turquoise coat and cargo ski pants.

      We awoke around 7:45is to grab the 8:30 train into Geneva from the train station directly next to our hotel. Luckily, this one was direct and required no transfers.

      Since the train had no WIFI, we amused ourselves by reading books on the Ipad/Ereader (what we have been doing on most of the trains). 2 hours later, we arrived in Geneva.
