We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

Too busy at the aire in Vernet so drove on to Belista - a really interesting place but decided not to ...

... small rooms where Dali lived and worked. All a bit pressured and not really worth the time invested. But the pool, the gardens & olive terraces with views out over the sea will linger in the is the savage beauty & remoteness of this area that must have been the anchor that tied SD to this place all his adult life, despite the jet setting.

... made very welcome, maps and information and our room was great. We took a wander down to the oceanfront where the harbour was surrounded by small restaurants/bars and shops -each had their turn in the sunlight! We became tragic tourists and travelled on the tourist road train which went for an hour and did a great job of travelling the extremely narrow streets , past some beautiful crystal clear coves and exclusive houses onto the site of ...
