Very stiff the next day so took an easy day planning to shop in Vernet Les Bains and stop over at the Col de Jou again! However, gave up on the idea as the new motorhome is too wide! Too busy at the aire in Vernet so drove on to Belista - a really interesting place but decided not to ...

... small rooms where Dali lived and worked. All a bit pressured and not really worth the time invested. But the pool, the gardens & olive terraces with views out over the sea will linger in the is the savage beauty & remoteness of this area that must have been the anchor that tied SD to this place all his adult life, despite the jet setting.
