Dec 7: en route and Cebu Airbus 330-330, Business Class! We had to take these seats due to a change in our HK layover. Our seats are little cubicles that stretch out as beds. These would be wonderful, though totally unaffordable, for the overseas flights. We are greeted by name by the attendant, offered orange juice, hot wash cloth and blanket before the plane evens backs out. I thought the flight was to be 4 hours, but it is looking like only 2.5. ... inside our home. The water rose gradually filling our first floor with 3 feet of water, but outside the water was well over 4 feet. Luckily, there were no more people needing shelter at that point so we were able to keep the additional flooding outside. But I also recognized that we needed a plan just in case the flooding rose, as the storm didn't appear to be slowing down any time soon.

... areas of downtown Cebu City I was concerned we might end up getting mugged on the doorstep of some dodgy abode! Luckily we headed into uptown Cebu City and the hotel loomed into view and was pretty decent so were both relieved!
The next morning we decided to get a local bus to Negros, the next island at the bottom of Cebu - another day of travelling!
