      ... the Pyrenees was AN EVENT. The wind was SCREAMING at high velocity which was blowing people all over the place. People who had back packs on were like sails tossed in the wind. There was a constant buffeting mostly head-on or sideways that really challenged all.



      Again it was a very pastoral vista with lots of sheep, cows and horses as part of the landscape. There were also windbreaks made of stone for animals and people; and stone shelters ...

      ... couple of days ago. Hopefully the nice people from Eurodrive are not reading this and they will appreciate my nice patch up job to take care of a couple of small dents and scratches and a slightly droopy right wing mirror.

      This weeks date night on Thursday was less eventful than last week and we only met a few locals and for some reason there are no really funny stories to tell. I don't have the photos but they have been posted on facebook.

      OMG how each of us slept like babies. Jacques and Marina did not wake up till almost 9:00a.m. Remembering the tremendous buffet breakfast spread, we all dressed quickly, and headed down to the main dining room to begin our day of luxuriation.       ... journey north, we came across the beach that made Biarritz famous -- the Grande Plage. There must have been 20,000 people packed on that patch of sand! There is a picture below that we took later in the day and bit was still packed!       ... at the tour de France 24. The bike hire scheme in France actually works unlike in Brisbane. 25. "quick dry" clothes do not dry quickly when mixed in with jeans. 26.
