... lunch at a cafe on the beach and trying to regain our energy to find our hotel, it was wonderful....took us straight there without an extra step. So thanks! As for today's hike....it was so beautiful but so so hot. Views of a magnificent coastline only got better the higher we climbed. View the other side of mountain scenery. Took an advised short cut on a road ...

... We followed the directions to the first village then followed yellow arrows as directed (felt I was back on the Camino when we weren't lost!) . Who knows where and how we went wrong but ended up through olive groves on very faint overgrown track climbing through brambles ( just a few scratches here and there) obviously on private land - lots of spider webs but I fixed that...Vicki loves to go first! At least we saw the ...

    Train Time Musings

... this train trip. These musings have made up a large part of my travels in general, so why not share it with the internet. Such is the way of my generation. ---------------- These are rugged mountains - the ones with sheer faces of rock, so new and untamed that even trees or grass can't grip on to the cliffs yet. These mountains remind me of South East Asia. It might seem a strange thing to say, as Italy is about as far from Asia as you can get. Looking at the mountains though ...
