... dense forest.
Once I did
get some altitude, the autumn colours of the near countryside complimented by
the many distant peaks poking through the clouds was very attractive. Most of the deciduous trees had bright autumn colours and on some the leaves were so dry they tinkled in the light breeze as I hiked past adding some magic to the scene. The
hike overall certainly gave me the workout I wanted and ...

That stuff is strong and it blew my head off. Not wanting to alarm Rene who had warned me not to go too hard (he doesn't touch the stuff himself) I suggested we step back outside and go for a walk. Suffice it to say the train ride home was interesting.

We were very lucky; the weather was perfect, full sunshine and beautifully clear air. Great for photos. I'll enter more details once I have a little more time. I just wanted to get these photos up on the ...

We glided smoothly in and landed in the grassy field. Great fun!
(I filmed the flight with a Go-Pro camera -- hope to add that video here in a few days)
Dinner that night at Chambre Neuf, a restaurant recommended in TripAdvisor. We had a very tasty salmon lasagna (much better than it sounds).
