Guadeloupe - Isle De la Petite Terre

We left the hustle and bustle of Pointe A Pitre and sailed east to St. Franscois. We stayed in St. Franscois for only one night and worked our way to Petite Terre. Lots of Rhum and traditional music & dance everywhere, islands people drink, string stuff, and they start early. Exceptionally for the festival people ...

... This effectively stranded us on the island with not much to do except walk through the quite coastal town and walk up to the botanical gardens to peer through the fence as they were greedy with their pricing. Time on the boat, easy with no sailing and a perfect nights sleep.

We did make it to the rain forest in the middle of the island in the end and getting there was half the adventure. Waiting at the bus ...

... started to move. (Mum and Dad can't wait until we can travel sans stroller and portacot and can skip the waiting for luggage part of travel. ) We had to constantly remind ourselves that we were on Caribbean time now....
Knowing that we had had a hectic few days of travel, Mum and Dad had opted for us all to spend our first night on the island in one of the resorts not far from the airport. Now they only finalised all ...
