Otto Josh Stanger, 8lbs 11oz, Sue happy and relieved, Naomi good and Dick very happy? We can relax now! Oh, and baby doing well too! At a new Aire, for us, at Millau with electricity and wifi, brilliant for just over ten euros. Enjoyed our stop over in Narbonne again with brilliant sunshine and it was remarkably quiet ...

... this was the seat of power for the Catholic Church for a few years when the French popes couldn't get along with Rome. The Paliais des Papes is unbelievable. Also a little ride around Avignon and you get to visit Orange and the Roman Theatres and not to be missed is Pont Du Gard. They have been at it on and off ever since. Raised a family, successful businesses and still doing it. Bloody brilliant, and we talked about all sorts, travel, families, kids, politics, life, bikes. Is there anything else? Awesome!

Spent the night in Carcassonne so we could join them for dinner.

We decided to take the toll roads as we thought that this would be the easiest as we try to get used to the vehicle. The heart stops every time we approach and pass a vehicle and I'm not driving! I can only imagine if I was driving. The speed limit on the toll road is 130 km/h. There is a slow lane and a fast lane. We are sticking to the right in the slow lane.

We got to our first camping ground in Olivet. Quite ...

... to go up the street and find a bar for some cold beer. Mission accomplished.

The usual 7pm meeting for dinner was hard for me to get interested in. A fairly substantial late lunch followed by only about an hour of riding and a large glass of beer had me thinking of nothing more than a quick thin-crust pizza somewhere. As Steve's dinner expedition passed by the third or fourth pizza place, I went off the back and took a seat at ...
