... While waiting for the bus back to Saint Maximin an elderly couple came up to me and asked if the bus stop i was at was the bus for going to Nice, well all they said was, "Nice? Nice?" and pointed toward the stop, assuming they spoke French i replied with "oui" ha. Well then the gentleman turned to his wife and started speaking plain english! OK place - bad time to go
We missed the summer lavender fields. If you really dig modern painting, Aix-en-Provence may hold some charm. Not a bad town, just nothing really spectacular.
