... While waiting for the bus back to Saint Maximin an elderly couple came up to me and asked if the bus stop i was at was the bus for going to Nice, well all they said was, "Nice? Nice?" and pointed toward the stop, assuming they spoke French i replied with "oui" ha. Well then the gentleman turned to his wife and started speaking plain english! WOW il fait vraiment beau! jadore le sud de la France! je suis donc en robe,y fait vraiment chaud et evidament, jai le droit a des commentaires de Marseillais, et des expressions que je comprend a moitié, ouff yon vraiment un accent special et tout un vocabulaire! je me promene donc dans le Panier, fort St jean,cathedrale notre dame de la major, petites rues, le port et ses vendeurs de poissons ...
OK place - bad time to go
We missed the summer lavender fields. If you really dig modern painting, Aix-en-Provence may hold some charm. Not a bad town, just nothing really spectacular.
Nancy liked the shopping in the old town during the market day.
