... to the village. Spectacular. Unfortunately our caravan fridge died a lonely death during the 37degree heatwave, so we had a whole day trying to try to get it fixed, before eventually resorting to buying a WAECO fridge. Me missed our day trip into the city but never mind, saw a lot of the countryside! ...

We stopped at a couple of other smaller memorials and then at the edge of Jacques woods, part of the Ardenne Forest. This is an area where some of the hardest battles were fought in December of 1944. We walked into the woods and saw what remains of the foxholes that ...

Over a month late but start of blog finally published. DATE. Day 1. Margate to Rochefort, Belgium 350km 12 hours total, 7 hours driving The day started auspiciously with thunderstorms over SE Kent. We woke up to sound of thunder and very large drops of rain on roof of our precious new home - Herman. Nothing like leaving in style. And this indeed maybe nothing like leaving in style. The rain held off until we had unplugged and de-rigged.  We woke at 6am and were driving away ...
