    ... the timber. We passed through the town of Elzach where they have an annual catholic/pagan carnival to drive away the winter ghosts. Only men participate and it is basically men behaving badly with their identity hidden behind garish masks. It is also the town where the German Football team take their annual R and R - maybe the two events are connected!     We enjoyed quiet evening in the pleasant Aires which is situated next to a small park which has a very large wine press at one DBS and a children's play area at the other. This morning maintenance decided to change the fuel pump on the water heater as we still have a small water leak, we then walked into the village to buy some bread.
