Today's ride took us from Montbeliard to Mulhouse beside the Rhone-Rhine Canal but the scenery under the grey skies was not memorable.

Our entertainment today consisted of finding out what the green numbered markers on the asphalt were. We hadn't noticed where they had started but had been watching them decrease for about 240k and …

... go, we chose to take a leisurely sache back toward the hauptbahnhof, stopped in the park to relax a bit then check out the Coop for food on our journey back to Speyer. We got another Brezelkönig and waited for the train.

Our route took us around the Swiss boarder, so close we almost entered once or twice! (It costs so we were avoiding it) Mrs Sat ...

Drove through the Vosges Mountains today, up some of the roads the Tour de France travelled a couple of weeks ago. You can see why they take drugs...... Came across an old WW1 battle site called Tete de Faux. There were still ...

Spent the day driving through the Alsace wine route. Lots of little towns, all with old castles and half timbered houses. Kaysersberg was a good example, just on the edge of the Vosges Mountains. Around this area their are also a lot of war memorials and cemeteries from both world wars. Around here are the remnants of the Maginot line, a line of underground forts and huge gun turrets ...
