    We started with a walking tour of Viviers, a village of about 5000 people. Narrow streets, old buildings, the church dating back to the 14(?) century. The walk spiralled up to the cathedral, which is the smallest one in France. Here, we were treated to an organ recital in the cathedral-what beautiful acoustics!

    ... a barrier was that our photo was going to cost us €18!!!! We had no way of turning around as we had a car behind us, so had to pay the price and get our money’s worth.     ... in an ingredient that we did not ask for and that neither of us liked; olives! Laura went through and plucked all of them off with a spoon and I smothered my slices with sauce pimentée and we ate the whole thing anyways. But still, I would have preferred an olive-free deep dish pizza.
