Over 400km later, we arrived at our next overnight stop in La Ciotat. Was a newly built apartment over looking the port. We unpacked, jumped back in the car and grabbed some supplies from the Supermarket. Some clothes washing was on the agenda as well as something for dinner. ... 8220;with a pretty face like that, the boys will take care of you!” I am so glad my mother was a better parent than this woman and taught me to be more self-reliant and sharp-witted.

I found a bus to the station (they did exist, dang it!), waited an hour for a train, took the 6-min trip, then bussed it mostly back to the hotel… walked… and collapsed at 8 pm. Attempted to watch tv, but everything was in French, including American shows that were dubbed over. ...
