... mostly spoiled. But then they get that from Mum and Dad. Regardless of their names the littlies are "Bobby". It helps with the humour. We have seen medication for sleep, activity, bowel control (both go and stop), calmness, happiness and skin problems. Then there are the parents! ... rusty, especially with my listening/comprehension skills - everyone speaks so quickly! - but I've been able to make myself understood all day, at grocery stores and patisseries and train stations alike. I'm looking forward to improving, and especially to my ears catching up with my mouth.

... sand shoes for 35 euro. This is the first thing I've bought! Another lovely boat ride home and an early night with room service in bed - I ordered perch (fish) and apple strudel for dessert. The fish was lovely, but it was really just a fillet with chips on the side. The strudel was also nice, with ice cream and vanilla sauce, but really - just strudel and ice cream. The price all up, including an apple juice? 60 francs - that is NZ$80! I'll charge that one to the ...

... natural with the landscape contrived shapes & patterns. For such a modern airport you had to walk down stairs out in the open & the 30m walk to a bus was like walking into an oven, 33 degrees at 5:20am. Although it was misty you could see the round shape of the sun with frayed edges shimmering through. Hard to explain but I have never seen the sun like this. Surprised how long the bus ride to the terminal was. I then had to find gate A12 ...
