It's been a hectic few days, getting ready for this trip, but finally I'm on my way! Pegasus Airlines cancelled my Istanbul to Konya flight and I didn't find out till late Sunday! Managed to rebook for the next morning (Wed) and find a room in the airport hotel. Now I'm on my way ...

... arrived at our Evian hotel and it was lovely. After we settled in, one of us going on the optional extra were to meet at 4.45pm. We went to a tiny, quaint place called 'Yvoire' and it was gorgeous. It is a fortified village sitting of the edge of Lake Genève. ... on the night of the 800 year celebration of the town. Everyone seemed to be out enjoying the balmy evening and free entertainment...... And so were we! We even got interviewed by a lovely guy from the local paper. The only issue was trying to negotiate the language, which is a particular dialect of German.
