Today I crossed another wish off my bucket list. Ever since I was a little girl I remember my mum talking about wanting to go to Switzerland. Sadly my mum never made it, but I swore that I would do it for her. There were a few tears as we went over the border and I saw the alps for the first time. Switzerland is all I had heard about and imagined. Yes, it is very expensive, yes the lakes ...

... side camping site. Plenty of open spaces to explore. This is just a nights stopover before heading up into The Vosges. If the weather had been kinder we may have cycled or walked the area as it looks pretty nice. We did brave the cold and wet to take a look at the fishing and boating lakes and Clive took a shine to the kids play ground. Think the 8% beer had taken effect! It rained all ...

Eventually we arrived at a village and by this time Ian was in the process of finding accommodation for us all so we backtracked a few km to join him and Steve. 140km on the clock for the day but not quite all in the right ...

Heading North!

The navigator told us the trip would take just over 6 hours, so I'd planned for much longer, given the 'other side' issue. The tollway speed limit varied from about 70km/hr to 130km/hr depending on the road. There were trucks galore & cars diving in & out on lanes but it all seemed to flow well & the rules were well adhered to about keeping to the right unless passing. Trucks never seemed to use the left lane so ...
