What a scenic location! Saint Malo is located directly west of Paris and just south of Normandy and D-day. It is a picturesque location with not a great deal to do except for chilling out and admiring the serenity.
The old city is built within these huge walls and essentially becomes almost completely isolated at high tide. At low tide, there is a beautiful beach to walk around the walled city.

While I had a friend from the States visiting me in Jersey I organised for us to do a quick overnight trip to St Malo. An hour-ish ferry journey from Jersey we arrived into the glorious sunshine and the walled old city of St Malo. Great food...stunning old buildings & way way too many striped shirts for sale.
