... out the bathrooms and they were pretty filthy. It smelt like sauerkraut. Not very pleasing.

We thought we would explore the town. We checked out the Black gate and then the DOM and lady of our church. It was nice.

After this we went for dinner and went to the potato house. I got the potato gratin with ham and mushroom, and Maggie got the salad.

We wanted to see more of the surrounding towns and we saw some great paths and places while we were walking. We ran into our architecture friends and got food at a really good Italian place. We have been told that there are many castles for sale and only for EUR1 – it is only the cost of maintenance that is expensive, hence many castles are now owned by the whole town, so the people can preserve their history for all to see and enjoy into the future. The castles can also be hired for weddings and festivals, so locals enjoy their living history, and they act as a drawcard for tourism.

... the stop. The hostel, as it turns out, is equally amazing as the city but opposite in size... It was literally HUGE!! With several wings of 3 floors with about 6, 6bed dorms on each, this new, clean hostel was perfect. The group that we followed to the hostel ended up inviting us to join them for wine and dinner at the hostel. Our new friends include Philippe Holodenko (Feefee), Luciere (Lulu), Jean Christophe Mercier-Larcher ...
