    ... but thought I would follow the crowd). Spotted a sports store as soon as I walked in, and headed for it – Spent nearly an hour perusing all the merchandise. Love the range you can get over hear for running – especially cross country as it is really big in Europe. But I resisted and did not purchase anything.

    ... I balanced a plate on a stick on the palm of my hand not holding on. there was another one where you rolled it down your arms then it rolls down a stick then flipped it over. The man was really good at everything.


    Swordfighting was really boring. All you had to do was hit a shield.


    Last of all we made a shield painting and looked at a knight's tomb. The knight on the tomb looked like a normal person.

    On our way back to Switzerland, we stayed in the capital of Burgundy, the city of Beaune. We rode about 495 kms in total this day, with mostly highway riding.

    We went into the city center for a glass of wine and dinner. The centre is quite interesting, with many wine bars and restaurants.

    The wine we had was good, but we needed more time to really get an appreciation of the local wines.

    I'm tired, so I'm going to leave this one to Helena.... Well, I guess the journey wasn't too bad because it was a French bank holiday. Louis and I watched a lot of TV and, to stop us from getting bored, mummy made us a little holiday book. Inside there were two word searches, a spot - the - difference, an eye spy game (which we haven't even touched) and every thirty miles we got a travel ticket! We did that and then walked around some more and not discovering anything that we needed we went back to the restaurant and sat on the beautiful little enclosed patio right in the shadow of the cathedral. We had delicious pizza that was very reasonably priced and a delicious white beer. We then returned to the ship for the afternoon tour.
