... Beaune is the Hotel Dieu, a hospice built in the 15th century. Very impressive. We also visited a wine museum housed in a ducal residence from the 16th century, so both the building and its contents we're interesting. The sight of the day was while visiting the Hospice where we saw that a young couple had brought their two juvenile cats along in a shoulder bag. The cats did not seem very happy! ...

... brûlée for desert. Our first really great French meal this trip. Waddled home after lunch and wine tasting, had a rest and then went out to take photos. Beaune is a beautiful little city, and there were buskers everywhere playing French music, so a really nice time to wander.
