    I need to mark Basel on the map & would also like to say to anyone reading this that might be planning a trip to the area, we stayed at The Passage hotel - it was EXCELLENT ! and I would highly recommend it; awesome shower, big rooms, comfy bed, mini fridge (if you can afford that sort of thing), a fantastic gym downstairs, and just a hop, skip, and jump away from anything and everything you could possibly want. ...

    Goodbye to our Blackforest accommodation, the Silberdistel. We drove from Hinterzarten to Hirschsprung to Freiburg. We parked in the suburbs of Freiburg and took the tram into the Alt Stadt.     ... bags and jumped in and let the river take us a couple time. This is very popular in this town, most people own the bags to do so. It's a very good way to cool off :). Rea was another great person to get to know for a bit, loving couch surfing, if you didn't get that before. In the late evening we went to the train station to catch the train to Amsterdam.
