... travelled. "Same", says I. Shook our hands when we left and wished us happy travels.
And for once we were home before 5pm. And it's taken me all the time since to write this. Jonathan has poured the red and shortly we'll spruce up and ascend to the town in search of dinner. Along the port here are predominantly Italian or oysters and mussels, and we'd like something else - not sure what. Seafood seems to be prime, being Brittany and summer.
... we've had in Brittany and then proceeded to walk to the old town. The guide books had led us to believe that there were very few half timbered houses left following the major fire of 1720 but were we very pleasantly surprised at what we saw whilst wandering around.

Our instructions are that we can check into our home for the week, Fleur de Lys, in Dinan Port, after 4pm. We have a drive through the centre of the old town of Dinan which is huge, ancient, and busy, so on the outskirts we stop at the Intermarche (supermarket) for basic supplies and then just head down the hill to the port on the River Rance. OK dont panic I have found some electric in the bar Cafe Babylone a very nice place indeed right next to what looks like a cathedral I was in such a rush for the loo Im not sure.

... welcoming and I stayed in your room James, it's beautiful :) we went for a walk along the beach then stopped at Pierres grandparents for aperitifs. I really like the concept of Aperitifs, perhaps we should endeavour to do it sometimes in Australia. It's a wonderful time to share company with friends and family in a very civilised way.
