    ... of information, artifacts, old equipment as well as a number of videos to watch as you wander through the different areas. They have an English translation booklet for most of the information boards although if you have a grapse of French you will probably get more from the visit as there are a lot of things on display that are not directly translated (e.g. newspaper articles).     ... next destination, getting lunch on the he way (we don't want to miss the magic lunch window and starve all afternoon, and not sure what will be open, given its Sunday). Doing a lap of town after leaving the car park we realise that church is over and all those cars down those narrow lanes are beginning to reverse out, as there is no other way to exit! Jonathan quickly ducks around a corner and we escape.

    ... the German submarine defences, as vividly described by Alistair McLEAN still exist. A bit of a disappointment, really. Large city, nothing at the port apart from blocked commercial entrances and a sailing school beside a vast aquarium, which would have taken a whole day to visit. Not even anywhere there to get some lunch! However, this was remedied at our evening stop at Vannes, where we had an excellent meal, including some of the best steak we've ever ...
