    ... the big chainring! At the top they have an Alpe D'Huez sign above a three man pedestal and I had Shar take my picture there as well and we even did one of her kissing me on the cheek the way the girls do for the stage winners at the end of each day of racing.
    Then it was back down the mountain and into Annecy though it was now growing so dark that we would be getting into town when darkness had taken over. ...

    ... Again quite disappointing. It felt like a nice averagely sized city with a nice waterfront scene, but truth be told, nothing spectacular. Montreux is all we have time left, so lets hope its scenic.
