I know it's been a while since I've posted, but have no fear, I am not one of the unfortunate 8 souls who died last weekend from an avalanche in the surrounding areas. True stat. I haven't done any crazy traveling the past two weeks, but I have visited some pretty cool places that I can fill y'all in on!

Classes have been progressing as normal, and everyone is settling more into the routine now. The best part about this so far has ...

Now we are with the Ford Family and looking forward to ...

Afterward, Claire had to go off to her horse riding lessons and Carole had to return to work, but not before giving us a quick orientation to Annecy and the lake front.  Annecy is a beautiful old city dating back to the Romans at the end of a huge glacial carved lake of the same name.  The water front is ringed by pedestrian and bike paths, and lots of sunbathers on the many beaches. ...

... on the lake, but Tuesdays only had one and it didn't leave until 3:45pm so that was a no go. We walked to the end of the pier and took a few perfect shots out over the lake, then headed out on a short road trip to the Abbey across the other side. The Abbey was also closed today, but it looked impressive from what we could see on this side so were happy to go just for the outside photo op seeing as we were not in a rush to be anywhere. The trip around ...
