... enough just walking up there once but she ran up 5 times! Unsurprisingly her legs were shaking afterwards. And then it was back into the surf, first with some boogie boards and then with some surf boards. The tide was coming in so the waves were big and strong, but I took the girls out with their boards and helped them on their way to a few good runs. They had a great time, but by the time I took over a board I was exhausted, so my attempts to catch a wave in the rough surf were ...

... of peope out in the main street and festive music blaring out from the many bars and restuarants. We decided to mix and match. We started with some cocktails in a roof top restuarant (Mojitos, Margaretas and Virgin Coladas!) and then moved on to a Churrascaria for Picanhas (soft slices of beef). We wouldn't have wanted the temperature any hotter either, the regular 28 degrees and high humidity was making it hot enough for us Europeans. We'd actually only eaten Brasilian food the whole holiday so decided that it'd be great to try something else. So off we set for 'Pan e Vino' for what turned out to be a truely fabulous meal. Delicious Bruschetas, Gnocci, Spaghetti and Ravioli, all washed down with ...

... travel. Having got up at 5am if all went to plan we'd only be in our next Pousada in Pipa at around 3 am the following morning. We had to backtrack our way out of the jungle by boat, bus and then boat again back to Manaus where we'd catch a midday flight to Brasilia. After a 5 hour stop over there we'd then fly on up to Natal where we'd hopefully be met to be taken to Pipa, some 1.5 hrs south of Natal. The 50 min speed boat trip back from ...
