... there is no mop! Seriously the house is covered in wood and tiles but not a mop could be seen!! So.I had to fashion something with an old rag and a broom, the rag had to be rung out by hand! Anyway we will be purchasing a mop on our return. We were all packed and ready to go and just about to settle down for family film night, and we got a phone call from my dad. He had just had a heart attack and was in Leeds intensive care. To ...

We think there's a song title there. We have the camping car section to ourselves today and although we enjoy company, it is rather nice. We were going to sort out loads on the net today, but still no connection, so sorted out bedding and the usual "stuff" you might do at home. We took Tess for a walk and had decided that we CANNOT leave without more chestnuts, I have been boiling the ones ...

It was such a lovely sunny day we walked up the hill to the chateaux (unfortunately closed) and then had a walk through the woods looking for ...

We have had an interesting day, a gentle start and then went to find a recommended village called Sauveterre-de-Rouergue, about 7km away, the roads were a little narrow for a while, but luckily as usual it seems, the French were taking an early lunch!!! What a charming village, voted one of the prettiest in France and you could see why. The centre of the village is built around a very large court yard and the majority of houses, ...

... It is in a very nice spot by a lake and is very quiet indeed. The site closes for the winter in about 14 days, so we just made it. The owner told us about the unfortunate people on the Cote d'Azure, that had 6" of rain between 10pm & midnight and 14 people had died. We have TV tonight so will have to catch up on the news, sounded devastating. After our usual lunch and that cheap Rose, was very nice, wish we had ...
