The winds had not abated by Thursday but fortunately the route took us a little more inland, sheltering us from the full force of the wind. We completed our required distance for the day, again wild camping for the night just west of the very nice village of Meldorf.

... weather. Plus, since we went on a Sunday, there was nothing open so there was nothing to do. It was an interesting experience to say the least!

On a more interesting note- I was surprised by a package from my friends back home! They sent me a bunch of American candy and some food, as well as letters and a shirt so I can support the MSOE softball team from Germany! It was a great surprise!

We are now heading North and may stop one more night in Germany or cross the border, we shall see! Stopped for now in the inevitable McCafe for morning coffee and an internet fix, Sue has made contact but I am still 'revolving' and have not touched down. So, we did not get onto the internet for some unknown reason! We headed North passing through Hamburg on the motorway and were amazed at the sheer size of the docklands ...
