Into Corsica, the unknown
... to swim, an essential part of traveling around the coast. On the beach there was also a black labrador that roamed up and down the beach, walking over everyone's towels, as it 'foraged the land.' On its return trip it had always found something to devour, a pack of biscuits, a baguette. When we left the beach we saw it a little bit off to the side surrounded by its spoils,tucking into its recent acquisition of the baguette; it must have been a French dog.

One day visiting the centre - Corte

Walking back along the harbour, the place was pretty empty, although I guess it is rather different in the summer here. Still a lot of traffic even at that time of night, close to the hotel we came across a whole mob of riot police, with blue lights flashing, flak jackets and all.
They had closed off the street next to the hotel, but whatever they were up to, it didn't interfere with us.
