... beach wins for having the finest, softest sand I have ever touched. Again, we hit up a Carrefour before we headed out and bought a variety of things to eat while we hung out in the sun. It was a grand day where we waded into the water and were able to rekindle our inner child while we ran away from the bigger waves, as they had a tendency to sneak up on us. We also lazed around on the beach, collected sea shells (mine ended up disappearing…) and just as the ...

Pack up at gite as we have to leave today. Goodbye to lovely grandparents, Pirette and Serge and the rest of family at Ecole de Saint Roman. We cannot go too far as Patrick has a dentist appointment for a broken tooth later this afternoon. So Aigues-Mortes again, this time to walk the ramparts. When we arrive we are not allowed to take the dogs with us. Too hot to leave them in the car. Nothing is going right! Sulky lunch then off to dentist. Dentist, ...

... pouring down with really big rain drops. I started walking to the station but kept slipping with my thongs on the pavers, so I tread very carefully to the nearest store (maccas) and changed into my hiking shoes to cope better on the pavers. I followed the directions Valerie gave me which was to go to the tram side of the train station which I was already on and walk up the road so that the park was to my left and tram tracks to my right and then turn left at ...

... to try our French, so we just let Jake speak. Turns out for another night in a row we get our own room. We caught a glimpse of French Law and Order, called "New York Judiciare" before going out on the town. Customarily we made a beeline for food, not stopping until our bellies were full. The main course tonight was pizza, our first of the trip. We tried holding out till Italy but the deal was too good. After dinner we hobbled ...
