... for some spectacular trekking. Climbed Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, which was a real gem.
Marrakesh was a vibrant pace after small town life and I really enjoyed wandering the souks and Djemma el-Fna, making friends with locals while sharing tea and scrubbing away the old me at the hammam. I didn't realize how much of a true taste of Moroccan culture and ...
... Surf Maroc, a surf center on the coast in a small fishing village called Taghazout. They offer yoga and surf retreats, as well as daily yoga classes. I led my first 8 day retreat here mid-May and it was wonderful: 14 beautiful souls I was able to share yoga with. And the setting was breathtaking, a yoga sala that was perched right above the sea.
Not only do I get to practice and teach yoga here, but I'm ...
... The views are amazing and breathtaking. Photo worthy shots of the hotel's magnificent garden, the ocean, and the extravagant pool that guests enjoy during their stay at Sofitel Agadir are right outside your window. This Moroccan slice of heaven is just far enough away to enjoy a peaceful stay and only the sounds of the ocean waves crashing will fall upon your ears. Walk along the ...
Agadir, Morocco delkroemer... way I spent this day. Of course, I swam a lot... The Ocean is such a paradise... When you enter the water, it feels very cold, but as you enter farther, you got used to it and it feels normal. The Waves! They are really big, it's so fun to greet them with your body... Cool water brings a new kind of freshness to you... And then, when you go to the beach, the water becomes more and more warm, and closer to the beach it ...
Agadir, Morocco qbcle... be returned to you by the end of staying here). Unfortunately, it's not green=( But the hotel itself is cool.
Caribbean Village Agador 3* - The space is Veeeery big because it shares its territory with another hotel, so you have a lot of things to do and places to go=) Lots of pools, facilities etc. Great!
Atlantic Palace 5* - Luxury, The richest hotel of all. His owner is a King's cousin. It's very impressive! Awesome Territory ...
... on one slope of which is written I-don't-remember-what in arabic, and at night it is lighten by lamps, looks so astonishing...
In 1960 there was an earthquake in Agadir, which destroyed EVERYTHING, Every building... Lots of dead and refugees... After that all city was built again from zero, but using an anti-earthquaking foundation. From the top of the mountain I could see the big crack in the ground (cause of earthquake).
Then we went ...
... the front seat, plus the driver. Cheap but not very comfortable, though it ensures close contact to the locals. It was already late and after waiting a long time, I ended up buying three seats and off we went. It was pitch dark, nobody spoke a word and there I was in Morocco. One of the other passengers knew exactly where my hotel was but then he didn't, so I ended up gone way too far in a ...
Agadir, Morocco sabaidii... something happens to him we go nowhere. For the past few days we've been pretty much following a dead straight road down the coast. This morning we took a 90 degree turn left and are now driving on a dead straight road with nothing but desert on either side. You really would not like to be stuck out here on your own. There is literally NOTHING! After lunch we took a vote and came up with a name for the truck - Nahla. It had to be a girl as we ...
Agadir, Morocco oliveramber... had spent some time in Europe and spoke perfect English which allowed him to answer everything we still wanted to know about this fabulous and mysterious country. As so often happens we traded emails and invited him to come spend time with us - hopefully everyone we invited from Morocco to stay with us won't come at the same time! We hadn't originally planned to come to Morocco or Africa at all. In fact, it took a fair amount of effort and cash back in ...
Taghazout, Morocco jenandjeffmilum... about the pizza! Got back to the room and sat on the balcony, the sun was so bright it was difficult to write. Had a lie down and tried to watch the most interesting program on tv so far, The Weakest Link, but the signal kept disappearing. Did some advance packing. Another tv programme was rather like the X-Factor but for budding imam's, if you can imagine that. Went to the restaurant and ordered dinner then went back to hotel to change 200D so I could pay the bill without ...
