    Decided we should make use of the car and headed off to Mont St Michel. One of the most visited places in France. Pleasant journey and Rich enjoyed the drive.     ... our way to the top of the island, where the church and abbey were. Great views from there. The tide here is tremendous. It rises and falls 50 feet. We got there at low tide and couldn't see the ocean. When the tide is up, the water slaps against the walls around the village.

    This morning we visited the Bayeux Tapistry which proved to be a work of art. They are not sure who did it but it is a 70 metre long Tapistry depicting the William the Conquerer leaving Normandy with his army to sail to Hastings to take revenge on Harold who made himself King of England when Edward died.
