Lyon, France 2008 What A Party!!! Arrived at Lyon Part Dieu station and walked to the Hotel. Nice hotel, but the room was the smallest I have stayed at. The key though was that the AC worked as it was around 95 degrees, very hot. Did some laundry and then headed out to preview the town. What a neat place. Third largest city in France, but it feels small and has a very nice old town. Lyon is know as the "gastronomy capital" of France. They take their food very seriously and I don't think I hav...

Its December 6, 2009 and Jimmy is leaving in 9 days to come see me. I will be flying into Portugal shortly after his arrival to spend the Holidays and our 5 year anniversary with him. I can’t wait. At the end of this month it will have been four months I have been gone for California. I can’t even ...
... they had a large collection of Rodin sculptures, which I really like. Also, because I was under 26 it was completely free - including the audio guide and the temporary exhibitions. How fabulous is that? I think we should do a similar thing in Australia - it might encourage more people to go to galleries.
After the gallery I got on the metro and went to the silk district. Lyon is the silk weaving capital of Europe, or was historically at least. I visited the silk museum ...
... my party friends but deep down as long as I am challenging myself and working hard I can be content, no wait, happy, with the “American dream”. Humans are always searching their whole lives for their purpose. They find themselves married with two or three kids, a mortgage and a pretty pathetic sex life since they got married and feel unfulfilled with their accomplishments. But the truth is that we don’t have a purpose, we are here ...
Lyon, Rhône-Alpes, France amberbogie... book “chasing harry Winston” read a bit but its content was too hard for me to follow. Retreating, I then moved onto the twilight series which I was so excited about but I can’t reread books. I love reading and can LOVE LOVE LOVE a book but I can’t ever reread it. I need the unknown, the suspense and the climax of it all.
Last Sunday I found myself in the Virgin records store where they have a book section. I ...
... But I am convinced to keep my figure slim with the exception of a few pounds due to the changes in food I cant control. Today I went on a walk/run in the countryside to 1. Be healthy 2. Get out 3. Boost my endorphins 4. Take advantage of a rain free day 4. Boost my metabolism 5 burn some calories while I am at it. This was the first time I have worked out since February, which for me is insane. With ...

... wasn’t even there yet, ha oh France you never let me down! I was pretty thrilled when I walked in the classroom to see half the class blonde and the other half Asian. Awesome, last time I was in a class in Pau there were lots of Asians and they tend to stick together and not really integrate in the French culture (which makes me question why they moved there and are taking language classes). HHMMM the group of blondes, Swiss? Dutch ...

The summer months are particularly pleasant, when you can take a boating trip out onto the lake to cool down, or simply soak up the sweet scent of the botanical gardens and treat yourself to a Flake 99.
