Lyon, France 2008 What A Party!!! Arrived at Lyon Part Dieu station and walked to the Hotel. Nice hotel, but the room was the smallest I have stayed at. The key though was that the AC worked as it was around 95 degrees, very hot. Did some laundry and then headed out to preview the town. What a neat place. Third largest city in France, but it feels …

Okay, I'll admit it. I like Lyon much better than Paris. I don't really have an explanation for why that is... It seems much more livable, calmer, and more friendly (although still, I'm sorry to say, not that friendly). Thomas took me to the oldest part of the city and it was so beautiful! ... Dame de Fouvierre, dans le quartier du meme nom, qui est situe au sommet d'une coline que l'on atteint en funiculaire. Malheuresement, la meteo n'etait pas pour nous, le ciel gris nous a empeche de profiter de la vue.

... I think I'm in the bus lane, Good thing these European cars turn around easily.
I stop to look up the French words for some signs but they make no sense at all... we'll just keep driving till I see something in English or a picture, no such luck, I'm in the long term car park. third time around I finally see the sign. But then had to go out again to try to get fuel, as they wanted to charge 2.80 euro / Litre to do it at avis. Good that its quiet here on a Sunday ...
