... their weekend away place in late summer. Millie has found her place under the tree/bush on the perimeter of our. Pitch. It's cool and shady, and 'I can see my mum'. There's a MacDonalds nearby where I can update and upload. Just hoping the weather isn't going to break. And it started to rain - only drizzle, but the sky clouded over. Oh well! Early ...

Another hot and sunny day. We left the 'car park' to move further up the coast. The landscape changes to a more tropical feel. Palm trees and flat countryside is the new scenery. We have decided to go to an aire at Latour-bas-Elne. It is a fabulous aire. It's situated behind a camping-car and accessory dealers. They also store caravans and camping-cars for owners who don't have space at their homes. It has security gates which lock between 9pm and 8 am. Just like a campsite, without the ...

It's been a hot day and the wind doesn't cool it down. Tomorrow we will go to the ...

... France and Spain, in the Pyrenees. Drove south to Perpignan, then west. Mountainous country and windy roads. We passed the walled UNESCO listed town of Villefranche-de-Conflent, a stop for "next time". Decided enough was enough and pulled into a camp site deep in the valley at Fontpedrouse, surrounded by mountains, and the roar of the river near by. Good sleep tonight, unlike last night, where the town hoons did a tour of the car park at 2 ...

Having finished off a bottle of Bulle, it was a good night. Warm and interspersed with the donkeys braying and the church bell ringing on the hour and half hour. David went for his usual morning walk to the boulangerie, coming back with a disgusted look, saying there were English descriptions on some of the quiches. The cloudy start was quickly blown away to reveal a beautiful sunny day. We used the sat nav to take us to our chosen destination. What ...
