take the long route and go for a visit to Lauterbrunnen first.

the time I was ready to get going the rain had stopped and most of the cloud
had moved away leaving a wonderful blue sky.

headed off down the twisty road from Zermatt and finally joined the main no 19
road west. This road runs along a massive river valley with mighty high

We set off from Miranda's as the sun rose as we had a day's drive to the car ferry in Le Havre. We bit the bullet and took the autoroute the whole way,for £50 you get an empty road at this time of year and chaos around Paris where the road is free and chockablock. However the sun shone and the trees got more autumnal looking as we headed north. We quite like Le Havre despite all ...

... day's trips were great. I love seeing into people's back yards and I had hours of it on this trip - so many veggie gardens, trampolines and even pools.  All the wood cut the same length and stacked so neatly.  All the flower boxes on the south facing wooden houses with red geraniums - what would happen if someone planted something else?? The houses are clustered so close to the line that you could almost touch the shutters or have a ...

... Kuno, Milagros and our neighbour Joelle. His greeting to Will, who is about 18 months old, was one of the funniest things I have seen. He was super happy and the best way he knows how to do that is go up and hug them and kiss them (he has been kissing himself in the mirror recently :) So Will was a true sport and had no idea what to do as Elliot gave him a big hug and started kissing his shirt and all sorts of places. Truly hilarious and infectious to watch such happiness.
