The best thing about the family run guest house where we are staying is that they don't particularly care about early risers. Breakfast didn't begin until 7:30am which meant a sleep in for us! In addition, we are staying in Werfen for two nights so we didn't need to pack our bags and load the car before hitting the road this morning. First stop on the itinerary this morning were the Eis Riesen Welt ice cave a short 20 minute drive from our hotel. This is ...

Thunder and lightning made the motorbikers scram to get back down on dry roads, we pushed on further for a few more km's before it was decided to turn back around, not even half way to the final point, a close up view of the Grossglockner Pasterze, the longest glacier of the eastern Alps. Us, not so much!

The staff was fluent in English and they made us feel welcome and it ended up ...

... have been tested on prisoners, as the Nazis disguised the gas chamber to look like a shower room with faucets, so that the prisoners would not refuse to enter it. All in all, seeing the camp was a very humbling experience.

After seeing the camp, we decided to go and check out the actual town of Dachau for lunch, as our tour guide mentioned how nice the town was. With a little help from Andy, we found a great little pizzeria for Carly's birthday ...

The train ride from Vienna was breathtaking as we traveled through a gorgeous valley surrounded by striking mountains. Zell Am See is a beautiful town on a lake in the valley. We were so happy to see such gorgeous mountains and get out of the city even for just a day. We spent our entire time in awe of Mother ...
