All in all this was one of the most challenging and important assignment for the fledgling, but pacesetting Ernesto Tours (ET).

It went a bit like this.

    July 31st

John and Sue fly to Verona from Belfast and stay one night at 37 Stradone Porta Palio (the 'mini Jesus')

    August 1st

Our first stop in Italy involved a love of pizza, a love of gelato and a love story about this broad named Juliet or something. For me, this place became even better second time around. The food was better and the gelato I had last night was made from like, real lemon and mint. It actually felt like I had been licking a lemon for 10 minutes it was so good. ... next to a lovely British lady and had a good chat. The
atmosphere was electric and the setting sublime. Eventually the opera started
and it was such a spectacular. Four acts, 3x 20 mins intervals, a cast over 150
people which included singers, dancers, children and horses and donkeys on
stage. The orchestra and the maestro included about another 100 musicians –
Wow! The stage setting in the arena was the best stage setting ...

... which raised the heart rate and made the walk worthwhile. I went into the village and bought milk and bread for coffee and lunch and headed back to the boys. They were all at the pool and we spent the next two hours basking in the sun....it was hot but not too hot and the sun felt amazing on our skin. We had a healthy lunch of salad, tomatoes, cheese and ham before setting off for Verona. The drive was simple and took about an hour door to door and ...
