... tourists can see as they stroll around town alone or in the company of a guide who will talk about the story of these charming exhibits, with the musical accompaniment of bagpipes from Val Pesarina. Guided tours (departure by ferry from Grado) have also been organised of the lagoon nativity scenes on the Island of Barbana, the site of a Marian shrine much loved by the people of Grado, who go on pilgrimage to the shrine every ...
Grado, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy bluwom... of alleyways behind the town hall, in the hopes of losing myself in them for a little while as I headed out to the lighthouse, on the tip of the town that extends into the Adriatic. Fortunately or unfortunately, the town is small enough that, while one can wander through these alleyways, it is really difficult to truly lose one's self in them. I was out at the lighthouse a short time later, which, as promised by my guidebook, was quite unimpressive ...
Piran, Slovenia forbes.thompsonfinally time to catch up. But first a commercial. Im trying Travelpod to understand its flow, where people find the information, how it flows to other islands. So if you find this on Facebook or Twitter or just stumble across this on Travelpod, could you let me know? I´d love to hear
ok, back to our heroes' vacation. And wrestling with zs and ys and finding the punctuation marks. This is coming from an Aussie-owned backpacker cafe just off ...
It the morning we go to see the rest of Michèle. It is very sad but... GOOD NEWS! Unbelievable things happen... the flute, the guitare, the computer, and all important papers were hidden under the matress and they are safe, not burnt! Otherwise all the interier is lost: all clothes, cosmetics, cables, chargers, mobile phones, books, the plush rat, the grasshoper, in short all. It is very sad view but we are happy that at least something ...

The reservation for the train back has been also made tday. We have the confirmation number for the train in France - from Paris to Laval. They also tell us that they will give us the confirmation number for the train from Venice to Paris tomorrow morning.
We need to get some sleep now, it's been very tiring...
... on the Internet for any kind of accommodation, but no chance what so ever...
Finally we decide to buy sleeping bags and sleep on the beach but the Italians tell us that it is dangerous and that there were some people beaten up and in the end they accommodate us in their appartment. Thank you SO MUCH again Mauricio, Arianna, and their beautiful kids!
For the rest of the day we stay on the beach and try to relax... it is hard though, you know.
... coming, an Italian guy who speaks English and explains to us what happened.
At midday when we where enjoying the beach the van started burning, there were flames three metres high. They were trying to save some things from inside but the van was all locked up. The guards who assisted at the accident have the van pulled away and they just left telephone number where we can get more info. They also ...
... can you?
As we parked our Michèle just beside the Adventure Minigolf - very noisy and opened until 2am we have to change the place for the night. We park in the housing area and go for a walk through the city. Very busy, a real tourist place, we have a cocktail, icecream, take a walk on the beach, and go to dream our dreamy dreams.
This is a great small town, where they actually choose to not speak english. We went from the restaurant to bar to wedding to bar to restaurant to bar (the Black Stuff) etc. Eat, Drink, Sleep repeat for a few days. It was a beautiful wedding and a great town.
Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy slipperycoconut... Venice has many shops full of glass items! One day, Gail saw a woman spend 500 euros on a glass bead necklace and bracelet! A little out of our price range! Venice was one of the most expensive places we have visited, but, I guess that's because everything must be transported by water and moved through the streets by wheeled carts. The gondoliers were not too ...
