1133. Magical Hilltop Village (Italy 110)
... bustling village scene with parents coming to pick up their kids at the church—which I guess doubles as a preschool. No cars… just parents on foot, taking their children up the narrow twisted alleys to their homes.

... the lettuce was picked from the garden that morning by Mama and red onions – of course from the garden were also just picked…She squeezed lemon and drizzelled oil over the salad right there at the table…added some sea salt…tossed it and served it. It was – without a doubt – the best salad we had ever had. Fresh and cold and simple and delicious.
