We watched them for quite a bit, as they were playing in the trees but also on the ground, but eventually they went away.

Heading further up the path, we passed a small rat/rabbit-like creature, and then arrived at another nice lookout over the ocean. John spotted a few more monkeys in the tree. Once you find a monkey, it turns out that there are ...

I eventually found him at a local bar having mojitos with Debbie, Laurie and Brian. It causes me some anxiety not having a cell phone when I'm trying to find Sean or whomever, but it has been remarkably easy to find one another when we separate. They are such small towns, it's a breeze. In fact it's kind of fun to think, 'well he's not at the restaurant yet, where would he have gone...' Wonder around a ...
Quepos, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica karensweetland... in a plastic bag and a racoon was trying its utmost to extract the bag from my rucksack, literally at my feet! Shy is not a word to use to describe these animals. We had a good tug-of-war going on but in the end the racoon won when he finally extracted the plastic bag and scampered off into the undergrowth. Even me giving him a kick or two did not deter him from his goal!

QUEPOS (pronounced Kay-pos) Quepos is fishing port that has grown into a large town. Quepos is located on the Pacific coast and it definitly has its own personality, quite rundown. Arriving at Quepos, we were met by a very rundown town. We worried about where were were staying there. It has a ...
Quepos, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica lauriesnym... to stomach was when the van had to cross a myriad of tiny bridges in order to get across one of Costa Rica's many rivers. Thus, sometimes we had to wait 10 minutes or more until we had an opportunity to cross the river ...
