... Zealand and were looking forward to more beach life! Quite a few tourists got on and off at Creel and we enjoyed the local Mexicans riding horses alongside the train as we arrived/ departed which I sincerely hope is not scripted!

Now we were entering the home stretch which like the first few hours was generic Mexican countryside, Yes, the journey is long and yes you probably should not take the whole route in a single sitting but we both ...

This time I have put in captions with most of the pics. Chihuahua had a very different feel to Mexico City. We got a bit lost in the dark and the alleyways were desolate narrow and grim. It didn't worry Brian too much but I was out of my comfort zone! I was pleased to move on. Very few tourists around Creel and the Copper Canyon at this time which was nice for us but a lot of places ...

Unfortunately, no humour in this one... I'm sure pretty much everyone knows I got attacked and robbed - here is the story of what actually happened...

I had been in the Copper Canyon area for over a week, and after my previous trip, had become aware of some of the dangers in the region. Rather than hitchhiking, I was actually making an effort to catch the buses. It was actually the last day in the area, where I planned on doing a day trip to the waterfall you see in ...
