After picking up Menna from the airport, and dropping bags off at the hotel, we headed out to the main plaza to check out the cathedral and have a nice Chihuahuan dinner. We stumbled into a great little cenaderia (traditional restaurants, usually built into houses) for an awesome dinner, complete with live guitarist. We spent a good hour catching up ...
... they started to drive past where I wanted to go, that is when I started to become suspicious.
At this point, I asked them where they were going, and they said they knew a better place to go and walk to the waterfall. I was dubious, but couldn't leave the car, so as they drove another 10km away, I started to make observations of the two men, and of the vehicle in case anything were to happen. They asked if I was hungry, but I explained I didn't have much time or money ...
... impressed!!! Simon then did his solo and Kelsey came along to watch as Simon dedicated it to her.
The night just got started and we had to be up for 5am!! We chose to play shuffleboard, an American bar version of bowls! Kelsey explained how to play the game and it wasn't long after when a few girls from the 18-35 group was interested in playing. After a few more drinks, we said our goodbyes for our 5 hour kip!

We arrived in the city of Chihuahua at around 1:30 p.m. and were impressed by the beautiful colonial mansions that we saw and the wide streets. The hotel that we stayed in was a few steps from the cathedral in the main square, a great location for exploring. Thanks again, Amigo Trails.

We took a drive along the southern beach areas. Stopped a Manhatten Beach. Walked around for a couple of hours which was good after the long flight. What a quaint place. Gorgeous little beach houses with lots of colour and character. A few on the beach mostly walking dogs or playing volleyball. Went to the pier. There were a few surfers in but the swell was not much.
We then drove down to Rodondo Beach ...
